Teaching Faculty 2014

Our teaching faculty consists of a passionate bunch of teachers. Like all things Montessori, our teachers come from diverse backgrounds, speak many languages and possess different qualities and skills. Come into our schools and you will immediately see our personalities shine through. Together, we are a dynamic group of young Montessori facilitators.

Our professional qualifications include International Montessori Diploma, Masters (Art) Education, Montessori Certificate Level One, Early Childhood Diploma and Special Needs. The recently hired teachers are graduates with professional Bachelor Degrees in various fields and we continually put effort to promote good teaching skills in our preschools.

We make an effort to send all our teachers for workshops and training externally such as Montessori refresher courses at SEGi University College and IMS. These key components help us secure high retention rates for Premier teaching faculty, supporting staff and school student enrolment.

Bruang Heights, 2013

Klebang Besar, 2013

The Principal
Miss Avonne Chee began her career in Montessori Education by studying under the tutelege of of Mrs. Lesley Britton from London Montessori Centre. The year spent training in London Montessori Centre created a deep love and passion for Montessori Education.

She completed her International Montessori Diploma and two internships in Kuala Lumpur and London in 1994. Her first Montessori preschool opened for the 1995 academic year with an enrolment of 35 children and 4 teachers. In 1999, she completed her Masters (Art) in Education from Deakin University, Australia. A second Montessori preschool in Klebang Besar was established in 2001.

19 years on, Avonne is still passionate about Montessori Education. She spends her days working with children, teachers and parents in both Premier Montessori preschools. Avonne's 2013 resolution is to spend more time promoting Montessori preschool education and conducting workshops for parents and teachers interested in Montessori philosophies.

Premier Teachers
Premier teachers believe that children are inherently good. We believe that children care deeply for their learning and surrounding. We foster their respect for their environment and help them become enlightened human beings. We encourage them to be confident thinkers and independent spirits - from simple tasks such as preparing a snack to academic skills. Our teachers treat every child with respect and love because we believe that a child's emotional and social development is as important as his intellectual progress.

We believe that teachers are our biggest asset. As such, Premier teachers continually grow their teaching skills. All teachers attend workshops and training sessions in Montessori education. In-house training is often organized to excite and create passion for Montessori education. Where possible, our teachers participate in external training and workshops too, which builds a wider perspective on Montessori education in Malaysia.
